Robotic Motion Control Specialist

Winston was born in the United Kingdom where he honed his craft as what we like to refer to as a “camera ninja”. He learned to go fast and precise and to be ready to do it again at the push of a button (literally). Then one day he was packed up in a large box and spent weeks traveling to his new home at Eleven Productions. They weren’t quite prepared for him when he arrived and it was an adventure getting off of the truck and into the studio (they had to ask a nice neighbor with a fork lift to help out!). Then - he was unpacked and began his new life in Birmingham! He was given the name Winston and couldn’t have felt more at home with his new family where he helps make awesome video work every day!

1. WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO DO WHEN YOU'RE NOT AT WORK?

Much like a cat - I sleep a lot when not working. Sometimes I strike a really cool pose and hold it for days.

2. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FILM?

I’ve always been a fan of Wall*e - something about it just feels so familiar. I also like Short Circuit as a throw back 80’s film!

3. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE PROJECT TO WORK ON AT ELEVEN PRODUCTIONS?

I LOVED working on the Publix 4th of July campaign. I often work in dark studios so spending the day out at Oak Mountain State Park in the sun was a blast (although I got pretty dirty in the process and at one point thought I may sink into the mud...scary!)

4. IF YOU COULD EAT ONLY ONE MEAL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I’m a big fan of automotive grease - but I’ve also taken a liking to Jack’s Hamburgers on some of our projects!

5. IF YOU WEREN'T IN PRODUCTION AND COULD DO ANYTHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I think I’d probably be working on cars. I feel like I could do a good job assembling vehicles.

6. FAVORITE PLACE YOU’VE TRAVELED?

Definitely Lakeland, FL. It was a long drive in the back of a truck, but it was so fun seeing all of the birds, lakes, and alligators!

7. PIE OR CAKE?

I’ve actually never tried pie or cake but I think I’d probably like them both. I have however worked with some delicious ice cream for Baskin Robbins!

8. MARIO KART AVATAR?

I think I sort of look like when your character turns into the big plant that eats everyone up...can I choose that?

9. IF YOU HAD A WARNING LABEL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

True fact...I actually have several. ‘Do not approach when light is on’ is one of my favorites.

10. FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM?

Rumor is I’m training to be a pro ping-pong player…no team involved but watch out for me on YouTube acing the opponents!

11. IF YOU HAD TO DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS AN ANIMAL, WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE?

Giraffe...no wait...yeah, giraffe.
